FY 2017 Safeguarding the Heritage of the Near East Initiative Collaborative Services Award

The U. S. Department of State (DOS), Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs, Office of Press and Public Diplomacy (NEA/PPD) and Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, Cultural Heritage Center (ECA/CHC) announce an open competition for Safeguarding the Heritage of the Near East Initiative Collaborative Services


Award.

The program addresses the extraordinary challenges to governments and NGOs working to preserve the cultural heritage of Syria, Iraq, and Libya.

Ancient and historic monuments, objects, and archaeological sites of the world enrich and inform today societies, and help connect us to our cultural origins.

ECA/CHC specializes in the protection and preservation of these irreplaceable resources, working on many fronts to safeguard the patrimony of other countries.
