The purpose of this project is support the conservation of avian species.

The Air Force’s Project PTFL18NR09 contributes to JBMDL’s INRMP goals and objective 8. 1 0. 1. 2 - Prevent Flocking Birds from Nesting near Airfields.

Tasks under this project consists of mowing test

plots and conducting avian surveys within these tests plots in order to determine what is the best grass height(s) that would support birds under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act (MBTA), Endangered Species Act (ESA), and the goals within the INRMP.
