OJJDP FY 17 Family Drug Court Statewide System Reform Implementation Program

The Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) is seeking to implement effective family drug court practices established at the local level through family drug courts and institutionalize those practices in the larger state-level child welfare, substance abuse treatment, and court

credit:


systems.

The purpose of this state systems reform effort is to increase the capacity of family drug courts to serve more effectively all families in the child welfare system affected by parental substance use disorders and increase collaboration with the child welfare and substance abuse treatment systems to ensure a range of comprehensive services for families that improve child, parent, and family outcomes.

This solicitation will be by invitation only to the five current Family Drug Court Statewide System Reform Implementation grantees.

Additional Information of Eligibility:
Eligibility is limited to the five award recipients—Alabama Administrative Office of Courts, New York State Unified Court System, Colorado Judicial Department, Judicial Branch of Iowa, and Supreme Court of Ohio—under the OJJDP FY 2014 Family Drug Court Statewide System Reform Program (SSRP) solicitation.

OJJDP welcomes applications under which two or more entities would carry out the federal award; however, only one entity may be the applicant.

Any others must be proposed as subrecipients (“subgrantees").

The applicant must be the entity that would have primary responsibility for carrying out the award, including administering the funding and managing the entire program.

Under this solicitation, only one application by any particular applicant entity will be considered.

An entity may, however, be proposed as a subrecipient ("subgrantee") in more than one application.

OJJDP may elect to fund applications submitted under this FY 2017 solicitation in future fiscal years, dependent on, among other considerations, the merit of the applications and the availability of appropriations.
