Administrative History: Booker T. Washington National Monument

The purpose of this study is to document the establishment and management of the park (1953-2009) and to place it within the larger contexts of public park land management and historic preservation inside the national park system.

This study will serve an ongoing guide to park management about


the history of park issues over time and how these have changed depending on the context of the time.
