Innovative Research in Cancer Nanotechnology (IRCN) (R01)

This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) encourages applications for the development of innovative research projects in cancer nanotechnology.

This initiative, to be known as Innovative Research in Cancer Nanotechnology (IRCN), is a component of a broader program that is the NCI Alliance for

Nanotechnology in Cancer.

IRCN awards are designed to enable multidisciplinary research and transformative discoveries in cancer biology and/or oncology through the use of nanotechnology.

Proposed projects should address major barriers in cancer biology and/or oncology using nanotechnology and should emphasize fundamental understanding of nanomaterial and/or nanodevice interactions with biological systems.

This scope includes research concerning the delivery of nanoparticles and/or nanodevices to desired and intended cancer targets in vivo and/or characterization of in vitro detection and diagnostic devices.
