Applicants eligible to apply under this FOA include nonprofit organizations capable of recruiting qualified youth interns for positions located at Reclamation offices and facilities.

Reclamation offices and facilities are generally located within Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, South Dakota, Texas, Wyoming, Utah, and Washington and Washington DC.

In accordance with 2 CFR ยง200.70, a nonprofit organization means any corporation, trust, association, cooperative, or other organization, not including institutions of higher education that: (a) Is operated primarily for scientific, educational, service, charitable, or similar purposes in the public interest; (b) Is not organized primarily for profit; and (c) Uses net proceeds to maintain, improve, or expand the operations of the organization.
