USAID/Paraguay Democracy and Governance Program

The proximate objectives of USAID/Paraguay for this program include enhanced transparency and accountability and a more capable government.

The final objectives are to reduce corruption and ensure a strong foundation for democracy in Paraguay.

In order to effectively tackle these challenges,


USAID/Paraguay will seek the following sub-purposes:
a) Increased capacity of select public institutions; b) Accountability and anti-corruption efforts strengthened in select public institutions; and in coordination with inter-agency counterparts and other international donors c) Legal and policy framework for effective governance advanced.
