The Office of Ecology and Natural Resource Conservation of the Bureau of Oceans, Environment, and Science (OES) at the Department of State announces a Request for Applications for management of the project entitled, Establishing a Global System of Regional Wildlife Networks:
Providing Support
for the South Asia Wildlife Enforcement Network (SAWEN). The Initiative aims to establish a regional secretariat for the South Asia Wildlife Enforcement Network, improve communications among the relevant stakeholders, and set the foundation of an integration of a SAWEN database with that of other wildlife law enforcement networks.
The Grantee and its partners (if any) will work collaboratively with OES, the U. S. Embassy, and relevant South Asian countries government offices, as appropriate, to develop a regional network to interdict illegal wildlife trade in South Asia.Total U. S. Department of State funding for this grant is $445,50 0. The Grantee is expected to do cost sharing.
