Not-for-profit AMD Reclamation (WCAP)

Funding is available to assist local qualified not-for-profit organizations to begin actual construction projects to improve the water quality of streams impacted by acid mine drainage (AMD).

Law 95-87 (the Act), as amended, are those which were mined for coal or which were affected by such mining, waste banks, coal processing, or other coal mining processes, except as provided for under Section 411 of the Act prior to August 3, 1977, and for which there is no continuing reclamation responsibility under state or other federal laws.

NOTICE:
Currently, no funds have specifically been earmarked for projects in 2016 but OSM will accept applications.

Should funds become available, OSM will award funds based on qualified applications.

Additional Information of Eligibility:
Only businesses (non-profit organizations or for-profit organizations) with extensive experience in the provision of breastfeeding education and training and breastfeeding course development are eligible for this grant opportunity.

FNS will not consider applications from entities that do not fit these eligibility criteria.

There is no cost-sharing or matching requirement to participate in this grant solicitation.

Non-profit organizations are required to submit a copy of the IRS Determination Letter, form 501(c)(3) or proof of application for exempt status under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, a list of their Board of Directors if applicable, and their most recent audited financial statements signed by the Treasurer or the Treasurer of the board.

Educational entities are also required to submit their most recent financial statements signed by the Treasurer or Treasurer of the board.

Applications submitted without these will be considered non-responsive and eliminated from consideration.
