This funding opportunity is part of Mission Pakistan’s support for public diplomacy programming in Pakistan.

Proposals should demonstrate an understanding of the purpose of public diplomacy, and address PAS Islamabad’s stated goals, objectives, target audiences, and geographic locations.

Islamabad focuses on education, professional and academic exchanges, cultural connections through people-to-people ties, and leveraging alumni or U. S. government programs to achieve long-term objectives in Pakistan.

IRC Islamabad’s purpose in funding projects under this opportunity is twofold:
1) to increase the knowledge of and understanding of the U. S. to youth and 2) to empower women and other marginalized populations, to promote their political participation, and to address violence against women and girls.

To this end, the Public Affairs Section invites proposals that address the following objectives:

Additional Information of Eligibility:
All U. S. and Pakistani registered non-profit, non-governmental organizations with relevant programming experience are eligible to apply.

This experience should be documented in the organization’s proposal.

Organizations must provide proof of registration and non-profit status with their proposal application.

U.S.-based organizations should submit a copy of their IRS determination letter.

Pakistan-based organizations should submit a copy of their certificate of registration from the appropriate government organization.
