The Cultural Affairs Office (CAO) in the Public Affairs Section (PAS) of the U. S. Embassy Islamabad of the U. S. Department of State is pleased to announce an open competition for assistance awards through this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO), contingent on funding availability, through the Public
Diplomacy Grants Program.
Organizations may submit multiple proposals, but only one proposal per each of the four (4) projects outlined below.
U. S. Mission Pakistan supports education programs that contribute to economic growth and help mitigate the threat of social instability in Pakistan.
Effective education programs can prepare Pakistanis, especially youth, teachers, and community leaders, to better participate in the global community, provide professional development for key multipliers, and enhance economic opportunities for the broader community.
The four projects announced in this NOFO strengthen the capacity of key Pakistani change-makers and thought leaders, which in turn expands educational opportunities and linkages to the United States for the Pakistani people, especially youth and marginalized populations.
This NOFO aims to support CAO Islamabad’s initiatives to promote and strengthen Pakistani educational institutions through the following projects:
1. Developing and Incorporating Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) Into Classrooms 2. Community Leadership Development and Small Grants Program 3. Connecting Pakistani and American High School Classrooms 4. Exchange for Pakistani Secondary Educators/Administrators (EPSEA)
