Media Training for Journalists in the Newly Merged Districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

The United States Consulate General Peshawar announces this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for a project that focuses on journalism training in the Newly Merged Districts (NMDs) of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Based on funding availability, this project will improve standards of journalism in the

NMD of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through a hybrid series of virtual and in-person trainings and mentoring sessions that will allow Pakistani and American participants of previous journalist training exchanges to share their expertise, professional knowledge, and real-life experience with a rising cadre of young journalists.

Engagements will be designed to meet the varied needs of novice and experienced journalists.

Through that sharing experience, Pakistani participants will gain new insight into and appreciation for U. S. perspectives on freedom of expression and media freedom.

The United States Consulate General Peshawar intends to support one (1) award as a result of this NOFO.
