The Public Affairs Section (PAS) of the U. S. Embassy in Kabul announces an open competition for registered Afghan non-profit, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) for an award to furnish, operate and maintain computer labs in womens dormitories on the campuses of Herat University, Balkh University,
and Kabul University.
The budget available for this program will include all logistical costs, materials, hardware, furnishings, personnel, and operating expenses.

Additional Information of Eligibility:Eligibility is open to all Afghan non-profit, Non-Government Organizations with direct experience in: - procuring and operating Information and Communications Technology (ICT) systems and equipment; - working successfully in Kabul, Herat, and Mazar-e Sharif; - managing budgets and human resources; - working in Afghanistan, especially with vendors, suppliers, contractors, etc.; - working with Afghan government institutions, particularly the Ministry of Higher Education and Afghan public universities, in ICT education projects; - developing and implementing ICT education programs.
Organizations must demonstrate a proven track record of success implementing projects in Afghanistan.
Organizations must demonstrate current country registration license, competent programmatic ability and be able to meet reporting requirements.
Organizations may partner with other entities, but only one organization can be the prime recipient of the award.
When partnering with other entities, the responsibilities of each entity must be clearly defined in the proposal.
