2015 Parliamentary Town Halls

The Public Affairs Section (PAS) of the U. S. Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan, invites all eligible organizations (see Section IV for Eligibility Requirements) to submit a proposal for the organization, production and nation-wide TV and radio broadcast of a series of regional Town Halls focused on, and

highlighting the importance of, the upcoming Afghan Parliamentary Elections.

These town halls will take place throughout the year, leading up to the April 2015 Parliamentary elections, with the goal of fostering credible, transparent, inclusive, and broadly acceptable elections, in which the candidates respect the final outcome from the electoral institutions, by emphasizing their importance to the regions and the future of Afghanistan.

The intent is to increase understanding and participation among Afghan citizens about the issues as well as the parliamentary elections process.
