Increase Girls’ Access to Athletics

Based on funding availability, this grant will provide funding to foster girls’ participation in sports and physical fitness in Afghanistan.

Proposals should include programs for girls aged 8-18 that foster leadership, teamwork and inclusion, and self-confidence through sports, while laying


the foundation for healthy, active lifestyles.

Competitive candidates will have a history of promoting girls’ access to athletics in countries in conflict and will describe how discussion of topics such as leadership, teamwork, and female role models in athletics will be woven into programming.
