Women in University Administration Professional Exchange

The Office of Press and Public Diplomacy of the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs (SCA) of the U. S. Department of State announces an open competition for a cooperative agreement to administer the Women in University Administration Professional Exchange.

This program seeks to expose women


working as administrators at institutions of higher education in the SCA region to international standards and best practices in their field, through an approximately 2-3 week professional exchange visit to the United States.

The countries of South and Central Asia are:
Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.

This program reflects and supports the foreign policy goals of the United States.

SCA seeks proposals from nonprofit organizations for the development and implementation of professional programs for SCA-sponsored participants to the United States.

Once the award is made, the Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs will coordinate the participating country(ies) and individual participants with the implementing partner.

Eligibility is limited to U. S. not-for-profit organizations subject to Section 501(c)(3) of the tax code.

The lead institution must be a designated sponsor authorized to issue the Certificate of Eligibility for Exchange Visitor (J-1).
