Peace through Development and Expanded Regional Stability (PEDERS)

USAID/West Africa regional Mission desires to implement a program entitled �Peace through Development and Expanded Regional Stability (PEDERS)� through a Cooperative Agreement.

The program aims to improve youth engagement, widen access to credible information sources, and improve local


and community governance in four countries (Chad, Niger, Burkina Faso and Mauritania).

Subject to the availability of funds, USAID anticipates that approximately $69 million will be available over a period of five years for this high-profile assistance program.

The Funding Opportunity/Request for Applications (RFA) is planned for issue in April 201 1.
