Technical Support for Ukraine’s Swine Sector

The U. S. Department of Agriculture, Foreign Agricultural Service, Agricultural Economic Development, announces this funding opportunity to support the Technical Agricultural Assistance Program by issuing a new award.

This opportunity is available to State cooperative institutions or other colleges

and universities in the United States, as defined at 7 USC 3103 and is intended to provide complementary support to USDA/FAS’s work with a local partner on strengthening Ukraine’s swine sector.

This award seeks to support the productivity and resiliency of Ukraine’s swine sector as they face impacts from Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

The principal objectives are:
(1) Increased resilience and profitability of Ukrainian swine farms; (2) Improved biosecurity management, including disease prevention and control, and veterinary services; (3) Increased connections with U. S. industry.
