The purpose of the grant program is to provide funds for extension projects that have national or regional relevancy.
In particular, the program supports extension projects that address emerging forest and rangeland resources through the adoption of climate-smart technologies among forest and

rangeland owners.

Additional Information of Eligibility:Applications may only be submitted by 1862 (7 CFR 3430.2, 7 U.S.C.
301 et seq; and 7 U.S.C.
7601(1)) and 1890 land-grant institutions (7 U.S.C.
7601(2) and 7 CFR 3430.2).
Project Directors must have an Extension appointment.
An Extension appointment is a formal appointment by an Extension Director/Administrator in the institution’s extension service.
Failure to meet the eligibility criteria by the application deadline may result in exclusion from consideration or preclude NIFA from making an award.
