The successful applicant(s) will be responsible for working with NRCS in providing the technical assistance necessary for application processing and customer assistance required to plan, design and implement conservation practices to assist Maryland farmers in resolving natural resource issues and promoting

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:a.

Development of CNMP’s.

Minimum specific elements for a CNMP include:
(i) Background and Site Information; (ii) Manure and Wastewater Handling and Storage; (iii) Farmstead Safety and Security; (iv) Land Treatment Practices; (v) Soil and Risk Assessment Analyses; (vi) Nutrient Management according to the criteria in the Nutrient Management Conservation Practice (Code 590); (vii) Feed Management (Optional); (viii) Other Utilization Options (Optional); (ix) Recordkeeping; and (x) References.For more detailed information, see:

Assist NRCS with the implementation of the Chesapeake Bay Watershed Initiative contracts, assistance can include clerical, technical, or engineering assistance.
