Tennessee NRCS General Conservation Agreements

This Notice of Funding Opportunity (NFO) is being released prior to appropriation and/or apportionment of funds for fiscal year 202 4. Enactment of additional continuing resolutions or an appropriations act may affect the availability or level of funding for this program.

Conservation Service (NRCS), an agency under the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), is announcing the potential availability of funding for the purpose of leveraging NRCS resources to encourage collaboration with partners in providing strategic conservation delivery assistance and/or provide tools or data that enhance the ability of the agency to support conservation.

The overall intent of this solicitation is to solicit partnerships to help enhance the implementation of key conservation objectives and priorities outlined in this announcement.

Proposals will be accepted from eligible entities for projects located in Tennessee.

NRCS anticipates the total amount awarded under this announcement in Federal fiscal year 2024 will be approximately $750,00 0. 0 0. Proposals are requested from eligible entities for competitive consideration of agreement awards for projects between one (1) to five (5) years in duration.

Entity types that may be eligible under these criteria include the following:
• City or township governments • County governments • Independent school districts • Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS (other than institutions of higher education) • Nonprofits that do not have a 501 (c)(3) status with the IRS (other than institutions of higher education) • Private institutions of higher education • Public and State-controlled institutions of higher education • Special district governments • State governments For new users of Grants.gov, see Section D.

Key Dates Applicants must submit their applications via Grants.gov by 11:59 pm Eastern Time on March 24th, 202 4. For technical issues with Grants.gov, contact Grants.gov Applicant Support at 1-800-518-4726 or support@grants.gov.

The agency anticipates making selections by June 1 5. 2024 and expects to execute awards by September 15, 202 4. These dates are estimates and are subject to change.

*Who May Submit Proposals: Proposals may only be submitted by the following: - Institutions of Higher Education <span>(see definition in PAPPG Chapter I.E.1.)</span>may submit proposals to any of the program areas.

NSF welcomes proposals that include efforts to broaden geographic and demographic participation in campus cyberinfrastructure.

Proposals from minority-serving institutions and institutions in EPSCoR-eligible jurisdictions, along with collaborations between these institutions and those in non-EPSCoR jurisdictions, are encouraged.

Non-&shy;profit, Non&shy;-academic Organizations <span>(see definition in PAPPG Chapter I.E.1.)</span>may submit to program Area (1) <span>Data DrivenNetworking Infrastructurefor theRegion</span>, program Area (2) <span>Computing and the Computing Continuumfor theRegion</span>, program Area (4) <span>Data Storage and Digital Archives for the Region</span>, and program Area (5) <span>Strategy for the Region only</span>.

Collaborative proposals submitted as simultaneous submission of proposals from different organizations, with each organization requesting a separate award are not allowed.

<span>Collaborative proposals must be submitted as a single proposal, in which a single award is being requested (with subawards administered by the lead organization)</span>.

For Area (1) Data-Driven Networking Infrastructure for the Campus, Area (2) Computing and the Computing Continuum for the Campus, and Area (4) Data Storage for the Campus, past and current recipients in these areas are not eligible to submit a proposal(s) to that area again for 5 years from the previous award start date.Any Campus-level proposal received from an organization having already received an award in this Campus-level area within 5 years will be returned without review.
