Somalia Regional Stabilization Project

CSO's goal continues to assist the Federal Government of Somalia in mobilizing and coordinating donor resources through December 2014 in support of Somali-led stabilization programs.

The continued implementation of the disengaged combatants program and alternate dispute resolution program

credit:

will reduce the number of Al Shabaab fighters and lower recidivism rates, decreasing the number of armed combatants fighting the Federal Government of Somalia while increasing the credibility and legitimacy of the government in the eyes of the population.

Augmenting these existing efforts will consolidate stabilization gains and expand the reach and impact of the government in newly recovered areas.
