Financial Literacy for Mexican Women: Breaking the Cycle of Violence

The U. S. Embassy in Mexico City announces the Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for a new program whose goal is to break the cycle of violence by teaching women and girls the financial skills necessary to be independent and avoid entering or remaining in abusive relationships for economic reasons.

The program will support the following activities:
needs assessment of target users; development of curricula in Spanish for women and a separate course for girls; website to host the program as well as mobile app for Android and iOS users; and evaluation and feedback mechanism to provide analytics on effectiveness of the program and suggestions for improvement.
