Purpose of Program:
The GEAR UP Program is a discretionary grant program that provides financial support for academic and related support services that eligible low-income students, including students with disabilities, need to enable them to obtain a secondary school diploma and prepare for and succeed in postsecondary education.

Priorities:
This notice contains two absolute priorities.

These priorities are from the notice of final priorities for this program published elsewhere in this issue of the Federal Register.

Absolute Priorities:
For FY 2013 and any subsequent year in which we make awards from the list of unfunded applicants from this competition, these priorities are absolute priorities.

Under 34 CFR 7 5. 105(c)(3) we consider only applications that meet these priorities.
