Sand Resource Evaluation on the Outer Continental Shelf by the Florida Geological Survey, Louisiana Office of Coastal Protection and Restoration, and Virginia Division of Geology and Mineral Resources

The Leasing Division of the Minerals Management Service (MMS) is offering a cooperative agreement opportunity to conduct research on sand and gravel deposits in the Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) offshore of three selected coastal states (Florida, Louisiana and Virginia).

The research will serve

the public interest in safe and environmentally sound mineral production and meet the goals of the MMS¿s Offshore Energy and Minerals Management Program.
