Intent to Single Source Award two Bear Interns

It is the Department of the Interior, National Park Service, Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks intention to enter into a Task Agreement under an existing Cooperative Agreement H2495090023 with the Student Conservation Association who will provide two bear technicians for Sequoia National Park.



The work will specifically consist of educating visitors about proper food storage requirements as well as using radio telemetry to determine locations and movements of �problem� bears.

The interns will regularly maintain and repair food storage lockers and assist with various other wildlife management projects.

This agreement is in the spirit of the Secretary of Interior�s Engaging Youth Program.

This award is in accordance with the Department of Interior Policy, 505 DMZ.
