July1,2019 - 9/30/2019 Legal Authority:16 USC 1703 CFDA # and Title:1 5. 931 Public Purpose The public purpose of this task agreement is to provide education and training opportunities for young adults through restoration and rehabilitation project participation in Glacier Bay National Park & Preserve.

ARTICE IV – STATEMENT OF WORK The project to be carried out includes landscaping, grounds, trails and road maintenance.

Word could include building or rebuilding bridges, walkways and boardwalks; brushing trails, roads and designated areas of vegetation to maintain safe passage of vehicles, staff and visitors and help preserve the cultural and natural landscapes of the National Park Service.

The Hitch Crew team will be expected to be temporarily assigned to work at another duty station within the park to complete the projects.

All travel will comply with NPS Invitational Travel (no-cost) protocols and will be of benefit to the United States government.

ARTICLE V – RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PARTIES A.

SCA agrees to:
Assist with the recruitment and selection of five (5) candidates as Conservation Associates and one (1) Team Leader to participate in the work described in the above Statement of Work.To provide living allowance, insurance and AmeriCorps awards (when applicable).

These positions are not eligible for AmeriCorps To provide for transportation to and from Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve areas of Dry Bay and Bartlett Cove as designated and subsistence during the period of performance.

To provide for in-service commercial travel during the project period of performance.

Provide 24/7 staffed hotline assistance, site visit, and performance evaluations.Provide supervision of Hitch Crew team.

B.

NPS agrees to:
Monitor and provide Federal oversight of activities performed under this agreement.

Monitoring and oversight includes review and approval of financial status and performance reports, payment request, and tasks identified below.

Additional monitoring activities may include site visits, conference calls, and other on-site and off-site monitoring activities.

At the Recipient’s request, NPS may also provide additional technical assistance to the Recipient in support of the objectives of this agreement.

Substantial involvement by NPS is anticipated during the period of performance of this agreement.

In support of this agreement NPS will be responsible for the following:
Provide general orientation to park operations, safety training and site visits.

Provide an NPS technical representative; Marty Nogues, while at Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve or designated representative on-site with the Hitch Crew team to assist with specifics of work and project requirements.

Provide all necessary equipment and supplies applicable for performing required project tasks.

Provide shelter and hygiene facilities for the SCA Hitch Crew team.

A written completion evaluation from Glacier bay National park and Preserve for this project.

Evaluating the outcome and performance of the project(s).
