Landbird Population Status and Ecological Information for Management

To update Channel Islands National Park Santa Barbara Island landbird populations status checklist for visitor exhibits.

SCA intern will gain educational and in field experience when doing the work necessary to create the Santa Barbara Island checklist, updating sightings information and assisting


with landbird monitoring and reports.

The Channel Islands National Park bird checklist will be updated and published on the park website.

The information provided by this project will serve both the public management of the park landbirds, as well as provide an updated checklist for park and public use.

This information will also provide an update to the national NPS NP Species database.

The checklist will also provide incredibly useful and the most current information on the status of the park birds, including seasonal, abundance and geographic information
