NOTICE OF INTENT: Southwest Exotic Plant Management Team and Texas Conservation Corps American Youth Works Restoration Crew

Cooperative Agreement Number P15AC00030 was entered into by and between the Department of the Interior, National Park Service, (NPS), and Texas Conservation Corps (AYW) for the purpose of promoting and stimulating public purposes such as education, job training, development of responsible citizenship,


productive community involvement, youth experience, and furthering the understanding and appreciation of natural and cultural resources through the involvement of youth and young adults in the care and enhancement of public resources.

Unless otherwise specified herein, the terms and conditions as stated in the Cooperative Agreement will apply to this Task Agreement.

This task agreement is for the purpose of educating youth and giving them direct technical experience with the management and control of persistent invasive non-native plants and native habitat restoration techniques.

Projects will be within National Park Service units throughout the Southwest, specifically Amistad National Recreational Area, Texas and Guadalupe Mountains National Park, Texas.

AYW is fully equipped, highly experienced, and provides extensive training to youth and young adults in the safe operations of the control of invasive species and native lands restoration techniques.

They are flexible and able to provide these services to all Southwest parks throughout the year.
