Develop a Groundwater Management Tool

This project will work to finalize data management protocols for caves and hydrology at Grand Canyon National Park.

The project will then create a scientifically defensible plan for a monitoring network with the aim of representing the variability in aquifer behavior found within the park.

Objectives â¿¿ a.

Describe and document an efficient and secure process to incorporate new and existing Grand Canyon Hydrologic Data into the Aquarius Informatics software platform.

Aquarius is the selected NPS platform for managing and storing continuous hydrologic data.

b.

Publish a model that provides a better understanding of aquifer variability to enhance the ability of the park to create a sufficient and cost-effective monitoring network aimed at documenting the range of aquifer behaviors found in Grand Canyon.

c.

Work to develop a comprehensive cave resource database
