Houma Regional Arts Council: $40,000 in State Grant Money Missing!

Agency - Division of the Arts Decentralized Arts Fund

A total of $40,000 in state grant money rendered to area cultural groups by the Houma Regional Arts Council has been reported missing.


Action taken was firing the Council's executive director. The missing money comes from the taxpayer-supported Decentralized Arts Fund of the state that presents grants to nine arts councils in Louisiana.
