University Research Center Receives $1.3 Million Grant to Build Informational Tool on Flooding

University of Louisiana-Lafayette's National Incident Management Systems and Technologies Institute has been awarded a $1.3 million grant to build a tool to educate property owners about the potential for flooding or other related risks.


The research is intended to educate the public about ways to reduce their risk of property damage. Historical data on weather trends, disasters and whether vulnerabilities still exist or have been effectively mitigated will be used to develop the digital data collective tool for disaster information.
