Scott County Public Schools Get State Grant to Hire New Resource Officers

The Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services awarded a $75,000 grant to Scott County Public Schools to recruit two new resource officers.

The hiring of the new resource officers will provide additional safety and security for its 10 elementary campuses in Scott County. The two new resource officers will divide their tasks between the county’s 10 elementary schools, while the original officers will keep their high school duties.
