Washington State Department of Transportation Sustains Highway Safety Improvement Program

Auburn City received a state grant in the amount of $400,000 from the Washington State Department of Transportation. The grant will be used to fund a federal highway safety improvement program on 18 signalized intersections throughout the city.


Included in the improvements are flashing yellow arrows, auxiliary signal heads, vehicle detection systems, LED signal head lamps and similar safety improvements at all the chosen intersections.
