Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) Legacy and Localization

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is contemplating the award of a Cooperative Agreement to implement Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) activities.

USAID anticipates issuing one Cooperative Agreement.

The authority for the NOFO is found in the Foreign Assistance


Act of 1961, as amended.

Please refer to the Program Description for a complete statement of goals and expected results.

USAID intends to make an award to the applicant(s) who best meet the objectives of this funding opportunity based on the merit review criteria described in this NOFO.

Selection of a successful Applicant will be based on two phases:
Phase 1, concept note and Phase 2, co-design with the Apparently Successful Applicant (ASA) from Phase 1 and evaluation of full application.

Eligible parties interested in submitting a concept note are encouraged to read this NOFO thoroughly to understand the type of program sought, submission requirements and selection process.To be eligible for award, the applicant must provide all information as required in this NOFO and meet eligibility standards in Section C of this NOFO.
