Strengthening HIV/AIDS Services for More-at-Risk Populations in Papua New Guinea

THE PURPOSE OF THIS NOTICE IS TO PROVIDE ADVANCE INFORMATION TO INTERESTED PARTIES OF USAID/PHILIPPINESÂ’ INTENTION TO ISSUE A REQUEST FOR APPLICATION TO SUPPORT A FIVE (5) YEAR APPROXIMATELY US$20 MILLION PROGRAM IN PAPUA NEW GUINEA.

The purpose of the resultant cooperative agreement will be


to strengthen HIV/AIDS services for more-at-risk populations (MARPs) in Papua New Guinea (PNG).

The program will aim to reduce the HIV incidence in MARPs in PNG and mitigate its impact on MARPs, their sexual partners, and their families.

The involvement of local organizations and provincial government entities is a priority for the program.

INTERESTED PARTIES SHOULD TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO COMMENCE RECRUITMENT OF KEY PERSONNEL AND ESTABLISH TEAMING ARRANGEMENTS.

It is anticipated the RFA will be issued o/a May 30, 201 2.
