The U. S. Department of Justice, Office of Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS Office, https://cops.usdoj.gov) is the component of the U. S. Department of Justice (DOJ) responsible for advancing the practice of community policing by the nation’s state, local, territorial, and tribal law
enforcement agencies through information and grant resources.
The COPS Office pleased to announce that it is seeking applications for funding for the FY25 COPS Office Invitational program.
The program will provide funding to for-profit (commercial) organizations, nonprofit organizations, institutions of higher education, community groups, and faith-based organizations to develop the capacity of law enforcement to implement community policing strategies by providing guidance on promising practices through the development and testing of innovative strategies; building knowledge about effective practices and outcomes; and supporting new, creative approaches to preventing crime and promoting safe communities.
