Implementation and Logistic support of a Police Athletic League in Guatemala

The Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs of the U. S. Department of State announces an open competition for organizations to submit applications to carry out a project to support Guatemala’s National Civilian Police (PNC) with the implementation of the Police Athletic League

(PAL) program in Guatemala.

The targeted population is at-risk youth in Guatemala between the ages of seven (7) and eighteen (18) who live in communities at high risk of violence and gang activity and are considered to live in the rural areas of Guatemala with low PNC presence as a community outreach program.

The Police Athletic League will be launched by the PNC in January 2024 as program within the Central District, the metropolitan area, initially in zones 5 and 21 of Guatemala City.
