Ukraine: Digital Influencers Incubator Series

The U. S. Embassy in Kyiv is pleased to announce a call for grant proposals from potential partners to implement an incubator series for aspiring digital media influencers at America House Kyiv and its affiliate spaces.

The purpose of the incubator series will be equip individuals who have the

necessary expertise to combat Russian disinformation narratives with the technical and media-production skills to launch new media platforms such as podcasts and video blogs, using makerspaces in the Embassy’s network of American Spaces as production facilities.

Expert mentors will guide competitively selected participants through a series of workshops and master classes, culminating in the participants’ launch of sustainable, professional-quality new media products.

The program will also create opportunities for participants to network with the wider community of digital media influencers and professional journalists in Ukraine.

The recipient organization will be responsible for developing a curriculum; selecting participants, mentors, and trainers; executing at least three iterations of the incubator series at America House Kyiv and one or more of its affiliate American Spaces; and enabling the future sustainability of participants’ newly developed platforms.

This cooperative agreement will require close coordination with the Public Affairs Section of the U. S. Embassy on the overall strategic direction of the project and on all major decisions affecting each iteration of the incubator.

Execution of logistics will require coordination with America House Kyiv and one or more of its affiliate American Spaces throughout Ukraine.
