Strengthening Governing Institutions, Systems, and Processes in Bosnia and Herzegovina (SGISP)

The United States Agency for International Development in Bosnia and Herzegovina (USAID) intends to award a Cooperative Agreement estimated at $ 5. 5 million for a 44-month activity entitled the Strengthening Governing Institutions, Systems, and Processes Project (SGISP).The overall goal of SGISP is

to support efforts by Bosnia-Herzegovina (BiH) toward Euro-Atlantic integration through strengthening the capacity of the country’s governing institutions to adopt, implement, and account for more effective policies, laws, and budgets that address critical European Union (EU) accession related issues.

More specifically, this project will directly address the deficit of effective and accountable governance at the BiH State and Federation Entity (Federation BiH) level, while also supporting increased citizen participation in governance systems and processes.

This project will support the goals and objectives of the Governing Justly and Democratically Area of the Foreign Assistance Framework, and, more specifically, the Legislative Function and Process Program Element of the Foreign Assistance Framework.
