Request for Information on Affordable Private Schools in Afghanistan

The purpose of this Request forInformation (RFI) is to collect written information about Affordable PrivateSchool (APS) in order to address issues related to out-of-school children inthe Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.

Theinformation may be used to help identify major issues in implementation


of APSand improve future development outcomes and is published in accordance withFederal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10 and FAR 1 5. 201(e).

*Organization Limit: Proposals may only be submitted by the following: Universities and colleges: Universities and two- and four-year colleges (including community colleges) accredited in, and having a campus located in the US, acting on behalf of their faculty members.

Such organizations also are referred to as academic institutions.

Proposers affiliated with Minority-Serving Institutions (MSIs) including Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Hispanic-serving Institutions (HSIs), Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCUs), and persons with disabilities are especially encouraged to apply.

Non-profit, non-academic organizations: independent museums, observatories, research labs, professional societies and similar organizations in the US associated with educational or research activities *PI Limit: Proposers must be affiliated with an engineering department or a department closely related to engineering.

Co-principal investigators are not permitted, but collaborations with other scientists and/or researchers in other universities, industry, and national laboratories are encouraged.

Principal investigators must be U. S. citizens or permanent residents.
