Combatting GBV and Improving Gender Equality Reporting through Diverse Media Tools

The Public Affairs Section of the U. S. Consulate General Karachi (PAS Karachi) is pleased to announce an open competition for assistance awards through this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO), contingent on funding availability, through the Public Diplomacy Grants Program.

forth in this NOFO create awareness about Gender-Based Violence (GBV) through a digital campaign, expand access to information on women’s issues, and increase capacity of journalists to develop media content with improved and more relevant context.

PAS Karachi invites all eligible organizations (see Eligibility Information, Section C) to submit proposals for up to two (2) projects specified in this NOFO.

The applicants must submit a separate Applicant Summary Coversheet (see Attachment 1) for each proposal that clearly outlines under which project the application is submitted:

Additional Information of Eligibility:
Submissions are encouraged from U. S. and Pakistani registered not-for-profit, civil society /non-governmental organizations, and educational institutions.

At least two (2) years of programming experience is preferred.

Applicants are expected to document prior programming experience if selected under this NOFO, and a copy of the organization’s registration must accompany the proposal.

U.S.-based non-profit organizations must provide a copy of their IRS determination letter.

Pakistan-based non-profit organizations must submit a copy of their certificate of registration from the appropriate government organization.
