Television Broadcast Trucks

The Public Affairs Section (PAS) of the U. S. Embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan is pleased to announce an open competition for assistance awards through this Request for Grant Proposals (RFGP).

PAS Kabul invites all eligible organizations to submit a proposal for a property grant of one or both of


the television broadcast truck packages below.

Option 1:
One large electronic field production (EFP) television truck and one small EFP television truck which are intended for tandem operation and which will be awarded together as one package by the Department of State; and Option 2:
One small television transmission truck featuring satellite broadcast and limited production capability which will be awarded by the Department of State on an individual basis.

Complete specifications for all three trucks can be found in Annex I (Large EFP Truck), Annex II (Small EFP Truck) and Annex III (Small Transmission Truck).

The Recipient(s) of the trucks will also receive a training course of approximately one week in duration covering the operation and maintenance of the trucks.

This training will be awarded to truck recipients as part of the property grant.

Additional Information of Eligibility:
Eligibility is open to all Afghan organizations or companies with direct experience in television broadcasting or lease/ rental of television broadcast equipment and services in Afghanistan.

Applicants must provide a copy of a current registration license or business license, and television broadcast license (if required to use the television trucks).

Applicants must demonstrate competent programmatic ability and be able to meet reporting requirements.
