Announcement for Program Funding for NRCS's Conservation Innovation Grants (CIG) for Federal Fiscal Year 2018- South Dakota

NRCS is announcing the availability of CIG to stimulate the development and adoption of innovative conservation approaches and technologies.

Applications will be accepted from eligible entities for projects carried out in the state of South Dakota.

A total of up to $150,000 is available


for CIG in FY 201 8. All U.S.-based non-Federal entities (NFE) and individuals are invited to apply, with the sole exception of Federal agencies.

Projects may be between one and three years in duration.

The maximum award amount for a single award in FY 2018 is $75,00 0.

Additional Information of Eligibility:
Applications may only be submitted by Tribal Colleges or Universities designated as 1994s under the Equity Educational Land-Grant Status Act of 1994 (7 U.S.C.

301, as amended).

Award recipients may subcontract to organizations not eligible to apply provided such organizations are necessary for the conduct of the project.

Failure to meet an eligibility criterion by the time of application deadline may result in the application being excluded from consideration.
