This requirement is to ensure that the Alaska District Formerly Used Defense Sites (FUDS) program maintains Administrative Record files as required for all properties in accordance with the records management requirements within; Comprehensive Environmental Response Compensation and Liability Act and

credit:


as defined within ER 200-3- 1. In addition to supporting database management of FUDSMIS, the Cooperator will ensure FUDS administrative record and project file documents as well as GIS digital records are properly updated and managed in compliance with FUDS guidance and project requirements.

The FUDS program in Alaska has approximately 52 active properties with 105 active projects in any given year.

The management of digital/hard copy administrative records and database entry/management are key processes in maintaining compliance with CERCLA and ER 200-3-1 Administrative Records Requirements.

USACE-Alaska District is required to establish and maintain an information repository, Public Involvement Plans, Administrative Record file, and permanent Project File for each eligible project to support FOIA requests, public access to project records, and Congressional inquiries.
