City Getting State Grant to be a Bike-friendly Community

In order to make Salisbury a bicycle-friendly community, city officials and local advocates are hoping to receive a grant from the Maryland Bikeways Program. The requested grant amounts to $13,750 and this will be used for striping designated bike lanes where road width permits, applying shared lane bike symbols where road width is constrained as well as installing permanent marker signs on the roadside as well as bike boxes at selected traffic signals.
