Maryland Department of Transportation Awards Anacostia Trail

The Maryland Department of Transportation awarded a $500,000 grant to complete a link between the Anacostia Tributary Trail System and Washington D.C.'s section of the Anacostia Riverwalk Trail.


The grant was given through the MDOT's Bikeways Program in their round of 28 grants totaling $3.13 million.


As soon as the trail is completed, it will close the key gap in the 60-mile, cross-border Anacostia Riverwalk Trail Network.
