The N.C. Parks and Recreation Trust Funds awards $1.05 million grants to five local goverments for parks and recreation projects.


The recipients of the grants are: Cornelius for the Robbins Park Phase II project; Hillsborough for Riverwalk Phase II; Maysville for Frost Park improvements; Montreat for Assembly Drive Greenway; and Pender County for Millers Pond Park.

Rwanda as Social Entrepreneur Fund Beneficiary


The Republic of Rwanda has been picked as one of the six African countries as beneficiaries for a new fellowship fund program designed at supporting social entrepreneurs in tackling issues on food security.
