The National institutes of Health awarded a $375,000 grant to the UH Center for Nuclear Receptors and Cell Signaling.


The grant will be used for a study that will research the effects of environmental pollutants on diabetes and obesity. Researchers will expose zebrafish to see if there are changes in the number of beta cells produced in the pancreas.
