Pigeon Creek Receives Unique Log Jam State Grant

Piles of logs and debris jammed Pigeon Creek where it ran through a farmer Charlie Wagner's property in northern Vanderburgh County as a result of an ice storm that occurred in 2009.


Now, the log pile reached Pigeon Creek's bank and slowly heads its course towards Wagner's cornfields. Thanks to the Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Pigeon Creek has a chance for a major excavation through DNR's Lake and River Enhancement Program log jam grant.
